What's going on in and around La Casa del mango
Despite the growth of tourism, many of Cahuita's inhabitants make their living through fishing and if the sea's calm; they'll be selling their catch at about 11:00pm from the dock near the primary school. If you want to try your fishing skills with a hand line, local fishermen will be happy to take you out on a paid tour -- and you can arrange to have your fish cooked and served with rice and beans in coconut milk later.

Let us not take the opportunity away from Cahuita's inhabitants. If their source of living is through fishing despite the unexpected growth in tourism, let us do the thing that became a practice for them. I guess, that's the least thing we can do; which is to support and let the Cahuita's inhabitants earn from all their efforts. After all, fishing is one of the biggest source of income across the world! Paid tours are just next form the things they would like to do, I guess!
